The Men's Tourbillon-Style Automatic Watch from Smith Watches is a 42 mm mechanical timepiece with a tourbillon-style exposed cage at 6 o'clock, a moon phase sub-dial at 12 o'clock, and a stainless steel case with matching steel bracelet. Self-winding automatic movement, 3 ATM water-resistant, 2-year warranty.
What is a tourbillon-style open cage?
A traditional tourbillon is a rotating cage invented in 1801 that houses the escapement. True certified Swiss tourbillons cost tens of thousands of euros. Our open-cage design uses an exposed, rotating balance wheel visible through a cut-out, giving the same mechanical spectacle at an honest price. We do not claim this watch contains a certified Swiss tourbillon.
How does the moon phase display work?
The moon phase sub-dial at 12 o'clock tracks the 29.5-day lunar cycle. A rotating disc shows the correct shape of the moon each day. Set once, correct about once a year.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a real Swiss tourbillon?
No. We are transparent about this. True certified Swiss tourbillons are hand-finished complications that retail for tens of thousands of euros. Our design uses an exposed rotating balance wheel visible through the dial. We call it a tourbillon-style open cage, not a certified tourbillon.
Do I need a battery?
No. The movement is automatic and is wound by wrist motion. If worn daily it stays running. If it stops after sitting, shake it gently or wind the crown manually to restart.
How accurate is an automatic watch?
Mechanical automatic movements typically run within -20 to +40 seconds per day. This is standard for any mechanical watch and is not a defect.
Can I size the bracelet at home?
The stainless steel bracelet has removable pins. Most jewellers will size it for a small fee ($5–$15). We recommend professional sizing to avoid damage.
Is it safe to shower or swim?
No. 3 ATM is rated for splashes, hand-washing, and rain only. Do not swim, shower, or dive with this watch.
